A Day Fit For A King....
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is observed on January 19 this year, and even if you don't have the day off, winter is a good time to explore the history of the civil rights movement and Pennsylvania's prominence in it. Don't miss America I Am: The African American Imprint, a traveling exhibit that celebrates African American history through artifacts, narration, art, and music. One of the main attractions is the actual bench where Dr. King wrote his "Letter From a Birmingham Jail." The exhibit runs from MLK Day until May 3 at the Constitution Center in Philadelphia.
