Food For Fines Amnesty Week

Chester County Library Food For Fines Amnesty Week

Bring in non-perishable items for the local food bank. Each item donated will earn you $1 off overdue fines! The Library welcomes your donations toward this worthy project, even if you have no fines.

The Details: You must present all items at the circulation desk with your library card during normal library business hours.

No donations left "at our doorstep" will be accepted toward fines. Items must be new, non-perishable items: cans of beef stew, canned vegetables and soup, boxed dinners, boxed macaroni and cheese, “Hamburger Helper" style items or unopened paper goods: Paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, baby wipes. Amnesty is for overdue fines only and cannot be applied to other charges.

Any account in collections is not eligible for this program. Donations will not cover charges for lost or damaged items, rental fees or to cover copier or printer costs.

Amnesty Week is only at the Chester County, Henrietta Hankin & Chester Springs Libraries. Click here for more info.
