Get Crafty - tips for the "sewing challenged"

Not everyone is handy with a needle and thread. I always have friends asking if I can hem a seam or repair a soft toy that is torn. If you have anything made of fabric that needs mending, try Fabri-Tac.

Fabri-Tac is a permanent, WASHABLE fabric adhesive. It is non-toxic and dries clear. You can find it at all craft stores in the adhesives aisle and at Wal-mart in their craft department. It's about $6.99 for a 4oz. bottle (tip- use your 40% or 50% off an item coupons for AC Moore, Joann's or Michael's and save a few bucks!)

So the next time you have a shirt or doll that needs repairs, run a small bead of Fabri-Tac along the tear, press together and voilĂ - no sewing required. Check out the video below for a demonstration on how to apply the adhesive.

I am going to have to get some Fabric Tac. Looks easy enough to use. Never knew about it. I usually just throw unmendable clothing/toys away.

I like the video "how to guide".
